Klingon Bat'Leth Letter Opener (Star Trek)

This is a miniature version of  Klingon Bat'leth. It is 6" long and comes on a stand. It also comes in a box for transit.

The bat'leth is the Klingon longsword, designed by martial arts enthusiast and Star Trek effects producer Dan Curry. The bat'leth is a curved blade with spiked protrusions and three handholds along the middle of the blade's back. In battle, the handholds are used to twirl and spin the blade rapidly.

According to Star Trek canon, the Klingon Kahless created the first bat'leth around 625 A.D. Klingon mythology holds that he formed the blade by dropping a length of his hair into some lava from inside the Kri'stak Volcano, then cooling, shaping, and hardening it in the lake of Lursor. He then united Qo'noS, the Klingon homeworld, by killing a tyrant named Molor with the weapon, which became known as the "Sword of Kahless".

The blades are curved outwards from the center and thinner at the end so its easier to get into the letters, the handle of the letter opener has a unique design.
